Hotronix® Auto Clam |
| About the Style: |
| Designed to swing open to either the left or right, this is style is ideal if your applications require extensive layout adjustment. The upper platen swings away to give you a completely “heat-free” layout area. Hotronix® revolutionized the industry when we introduced the first Swinger style ever back in 1987. Today it is the best-selling style for serious heat press users. After layout, swing back the platen and close. The Swinger needs enough table space to be able to swing away from the work area, usually at least 3 feet of counter space. |
| About the Size: |
16” x 20”
With a larger platen, you can apply larger graphics on larger garments, such as jacket backs, football or hockey jerseys and other large items. |
22” x 22”
This large, high-volume production size platen is available only on the Hotronix Air Swinger. |

| About the Style: |
| Clam or clamshell is a popular style because it's space-saving and lighter in weight than other types, making it more portable. The Hotronix® Clam is now available with Auto-Release Opening, so the press opens automatically after pressing, with no need for an air-compressor. Plus, it gives you a Digital Pressure Readout®, which no other manual clam on the market offers. The Hotronix® Clam is designed to open wide, giving you a wider, safer opening than other clams. Keep in mind that the operator's hands must go under the heated platen to load the shirt and position the transfer, letters, or numbers. There is more exposure to the heated platen than on a Swinger or Draw press style. |
| About the Size: |
16” x 16”
This is the smallest size you should consider for general garment printing. It is always better to get a larger platen if you have the room and budget, since it gives you more application options. |
16” x 20"
With a larger platen, you can apply larger graphics on larger garments, such as jacket backs, football or hockey jerseys and other large items. |
6” x 6"
This compact size is a specialty press for businesses that do large quantities of left-chest designs, baby clothing or labels. Usually bought in combination with another larger press. |
