Tip of the Month - Digital vs. Screen Printed Transfers
Digital Transfers
Digital transfers will need to be ordered when you need full process color. The number of colors in the print will not effect the cost with digital transfers. A good example of process color needed to be printed digitally is photographs. We also recommend using our digitally produced CAD-PRINTZ™ when going on a material other than cotton, polyester or cotton/polyester blends. CAD-PRINTZ™ can be applied to materials such as lycra, spandex and nylon in both full process color and single spot colors.
Screen Printed Transfers
Our screen printed transfers are the recommended choice when applying to cotton, polyester or cotton/polyester blend apparel in single or spot color. For example, if you are doing an order for a team who needs a red print with a white outline on their navy t-shirt—screen printed transfers are the best choice. Our screen printed transfers include our Goof Proof®, Hot Split and Polytrans ink formulas as well as specialty inks such as Glitter, Elasti Prints® and Reflective.
