Can I use a household iron to apply Transfer Express products?

We do not recommend applying any of Transfer Express' products with a household hand iron. We suggest using a heat press with adjustable pressure settings.

How can I prevent a garment from showing heat press indentation?

For the best results, when applying to a certain area of your garment use Print Perfect pads. Print Perfect pads can be cut into the same shape or area of the logo/graphic being applied. This will prevent the rest of your garment from being heat applied.

The handle on my Auto Clam heat press only releases one or two inches, then stops and is very hard to lift. How can I get it to work normally?

The gas springs may be loose. A replacement can be ordered from Hotronix^®.

Why can't I get the right pressure on my heat press when I use a Print Perfect pad?

Remember, Print Perfect pads naturally increase your machine's pressure. Make sure to adjust the pressure for the product being applied when using these items.

How do I reset my Hotronix^® heat press?

Please refer to your owner's manual or contact a technical specialist at Hotronix.

How often should I have my machine serviced?

We recommend a general service at least twice per year. You can purchase extended warranty packages that will automatically cover service visits. If your machine is out of warranty contact us and we can help you out. During our service visits we inspect and clean your machine and replace any worn consumable parts. How would I decorate an umbrella on my heat press?

Using a cap press is the easiest way, but you can also place one panel of the umbrella on the corner of the heat press.

Why is my heat press temperature fluctuating or jumping on the screen?

It could be a loose probe connection on the board. A replacement can be ordered from Hotronix^®.
