The Graphic
Designers at Transfer Express have a few recommendations on how to
make your Easy Prints® order look its best.
- Golden rule - more than 3 different typestyles in a piece of
art makes it look too busy.
- Choose the right typestyle for the right size Easy Prints®.
For example, Aardvark type style does not work well on caps because
the letter openings are small and get even smaller when reduced,
making the letters hard to read.
- Inform your representative of the garment color. This is important
because it helps the designer incorporate the garment color, when
possible, into the design. Also, it helps the designer make certain
clip arts look more natural on a certain shirt color. For example,
you are putting a white Easy Prints® on a black shirt
but the clip art includes an 8 ball. The graphic designer can
reverse the colors on the ball so it will show through to the
shirt and be its actual color.
- If you are not sure what color placement will look best on your
multi-color order, allow our designers to choose the best color
placement for you..
- When choosing an ARC format for the letters, it is best
not to specify letter height because ARCS must be stretched proportionately.
- ARCHES are excellent for specific letter height. We measure
the middle letters for the height. We can stretch it to 11"
wide, 14" wide, 3" tall... whatever size you want!
- Keep legibility in mind when deciding how many words are in
a line of type. More than 3 words becomes hard to read. If you
are not sure what will look best, let the designer decide. Also,
keep in mind that height, case, and typestyle affect legibility.
- For cap size transfers .....keep it simple.
